In his second year skating on the World Cup circuit, Carr names the relay as his favorite event. Helping his team to win bronze in relay at the 2011 World Championships, Carr also won two silver medals in the relay (World Cups 2&3), and a bronze in World Cup 1. Carr’s top individual finish was a 5th in the 1500 in Montreal.
Carr made the transition from inline skating to ice as a freshman during high school in Pennsylvania. Three years later, Carr moved to Marquette, MI, to train with the US Speedskating Development Team at the United States Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan University (NMU). Carr most recently completed his Junior year at NMU.
