PERSONAL: Born Evan Guy Makai Enriques on November 2, 1995, to parents Guy and Julie… Has two brothers, Cory (1986) and Emmett (1997), and two sisters, Addie (1998) and Avery (1998)… Mother played college volleyball at Oregon State from 1987-1990 and still plays at U.S. Open Volleyball Nationals each year… Father played college basketball at the University of Hawaii. He plays volleyball at U.S. Open Nationals and won a gold medal in the Men’s 55 and Over Division… Evan’s favorite food is spam katsu… His favorite book is Night of the Howling Dogs… His favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings series and his favorite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio… Evan listens to R&B and soft rock music and his favorite musician is John Mayer… His favorite professional sports team is the Brazilian Men’s National Volleyball Team and his favorite athlete is Murillo Endres… He enjoys fishing, diving and kayaking… Evan most admires his parents because of their continual support and encouragement for him and his brothers to compete in volleyball and succeed in school... His happiest moment was winning the 12U gold medal at Junior Nationals against Borinquen Coqui.
