Personal: Started shooting archery at the age of 11 because a childhood friend introduced him to the sport and he became a part of a Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Program.
Greatest Achievement in Archery: Winning the Team Gold Medal at the 2001 World Indoor Championships with Butch Johnson and Vic Wunderle
Other Major Accomplishments: Represented the United States at six World Championships. National Field Champion, Arizona Cup Champion, Gold Cup Champion. Named to the United States Archery Team 6=six times and nationally ranked in the top three for the past two years.
Biggest Career Moment: Representing the United States in Croatia at the World Field Championships and winning the Silver Medal.
Goals over the Next Year: To shoot the best he can, but the most important thing is that he wants to have fun doing it.
Long-Term Goals: To have fun and remain competitive. Joe says since archery is a sport that has no age limits, he expects to be competing for a very long time
