A member of the famous Teter snowboarding family tree, Elijah is the middle child in a family of five. Oldest brother, Abe, owns the style master title in the family, while younger sister, Hannah, currently holds the biggest bank account, but Elijah is the king trick innovator. Brother, Amen, serves as the family agent. Elijah stepped it up after winning the 2002 Junior World Championships and is on course for a 2010 Olympic run.
It was a solid year of riding for Teter who competed on the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix tour, World Cups, X Games and the US Open. The native Vermonter's riding got hot in Aspen as he finished just off the podium in fourth at the X Games. From there Teter rolled on to the Boreal stop of the Grand Prix where he was sixth. But, he saved the best for the home crowd as he finished on the podium in third at the last Grand Prix of the season in Killington, Vt.
A testament to the hand-me-down, Teter received his first snowboard from brother, Abe. In the seventh grade Elijah decided to skateboard instead of play baseball and snowboard in favor of basketball.
A little shy, but it works for the ladies. Loves boats, mountain biking, dancing, board sports of all flavors and anything that makes you flow. The 10-year plan consists of surfing all summer in Costa Rica and snowboarding "where ever" in winter. I'd be a surfer bum if I weren't holding down a life as a pro shred. My goal in life is to make candy materialize out of thin air. "Dumb and Dumber" wins as best movie of all-time.
