An accomplished inline skater, Josh transitioned from wheels to ice, after seven consecutive years as a member of the USA Roller Sports World Team. He is in his second year as a member of the US National Long Track Racing Program. As an inline skater, he was coached by his parents Pete and Linda Wood, along with Robert Stewart.
In 2011, Wood skating the 1500m in Salt Lake City, and setting a personal best with a time of 1:46.64.
Beyond speedskating, Josh has been among the top ten nationally ranked athletes in BMX bike racing. A student at Ashworth College and studying health care management, he also enjoys cycling, working on his car, and watching movies.
