Katie Uhlaender has been one of the United States’ top skeleton athletes since she began the sport in 2003. Uhlaender slid to a 6th place finish at the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games and an 11th place finish at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. She has earned 17 World Cup medals and two overall World Cup titles (2007, 2008). In 2012, Uhlaender earned the title of world champion, completing her collection of world championship medals (silver in 2008, bronze in 2007).
