Club leaders and archers are encouraged to check out the JOAD Scoring Matrix and Adult Scoring Matrix, which govern how awards are earned. The Scoring Matrix has been recently redesigned for clarity and ease of use.

Bronze JOAD Olympian awards are recognized with a certificate, pin, and lightweight jacket.  Silver JOAD Olympian awards are recognized with a certificate, pin, and sports duffel bag.  Gold JOAD Olympian awards are recognized with a certificate, pin, and a personalized plaque.  Adult awards are recognized by Bronze, Silver, and Gold pins.

JOAD and Adult awards – which may be earned for indoor and outdoor scores for barebow/basic compound, recurve, and compound divisions –are provided by USA Archery upon request from the club leader; a complete and verified application for an Olympian award must be submitted by the leader of the registered USA Archery Club.

Olympian awards must be earned in consecutive order for both indoor and outdoor JOAD. Adult Archery Program Bronze, Silver and Gold Pin Awards must also be earned in consecutive order for both indoor and outdoor awards.
