Scott Novack Hired as U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation High Performance Director
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. –The U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation (USBSF) proudly announces that Scott Novack has been named High Performance Director. Novack will be located in the Colorado Springs, Colo. office, and will officially begin his position today, Tuesday, Oct. 14th.
“Scott came highly recommended from the USOC and highly compliments our current staff very well,” said Darrin Steele, USBSF CEO. “This past season focused on developing a vision for the organization and putting a structure in place to facilitate this vision. Now that we are heading in the right direction with the right people and the right strategy, we need to make sure we execute the plan, vision and strategy as we move forward to Vancouver and Sochi. ”
Novack’s responsibilities will include coaching development programs, program structure improvements, program execution, criteria development, High Performance Plan development and technology initiatives.
Novack brings seven years of national governing body experience to the USBSF after having worked as Team Manager with USA Rugby, Director of High Performance with USA Taekwondo, and most recently as Manager of High Performance with USA Modern Pentathlon.
“I see Scott playing a major role in several of the current initiatives that we are driving, such as our technology and development programs,” said Steele. “We will utilize his experience in similar roles with USA Taekwondo and USA Modern Pentathlon.”
