Zur Misses Qualifying for 1000m Finals

Rami Zur (Costa Mesa, Calif.) placed seventh in his semifinal Wednesday afternoon at the Shunyi Rowing-Canoeing Park and therefore will not be moving on to the men's single kayak (K-1) 1000m finals. He had a time of 3:46.204, 12.949 seconds behind Ken Wallace of Australia, who won the semifinal in a time of 3:33.255. Zur will still be competing in the K-1 500m, which will run semifinals Thursday afternoon.
