Women's Jr. National Team to Compete in European Tour
The USA Junior Women’s National Team kicks off a two country European tour this week. The Under-21 team had two training sessions in Maryland before they crossed the Atlantic Ocean and landed in Dublin, Ireland early Sunday morning.
The team will face off against the Irish Junior National Team at the University College Dublin on Monday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 22. All games will be at University College Dublin, National Hockey Stadium.
The USA Junior Team is comprised of the top Under-female field hockey players in the country, including Kat Sharkey and Michelle Cesan who have been training in Chula Vista with the Women’s National Team.
The squad was selected at last years Junior National Camp, and completed a training weekend at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA in early January.
After two games in Ireland the team will travel to Monchengladbach, Germany where they will play three games against the German Junior National Team. Games will be played at the Warsteiner Hockey Park.
