Aug 16 First-Ever All-Boys Indoor Tournament to hit Colorado Terrain

Although extreme snowboarders and skiers stake major claim on Colorado’s winter landscape of unfolding snow, this December boys from across the nation are about to turn the traditional mountain town into field hockey territory.

Dita and USA Field Hockey are sending out an exclusive invitation to boys and males field hockey players to take part of history at the first-ever All-Boys Indoor Hockey Tournament on  December 13 - 15, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The tournament will be broken down into three age categories:  youth, intermediate, and high school and up. Prior established indoor teams are encouraged to attend. Individual players will be placed together onto appropriate teams.

Friday, December 13 until noon Saturday, December 14 a full scale clinic and training program will take place. High-skilled players will begin play on Saturday morning. Athletes will be sorted into the most appropriate skills and age levels.  Even players who have little or no indoor hockey experience will be given intensive coaching, preparing them to participate by 1 p.m. on Saturday. Saturday afternoon and evening games will take place on three sport court surfaces.  The tournament will finish on Sunday by 4 p.m.  As a special bonus national coaches and field hockey Olympians will be in attendance.

An individual registration fee of $75 is offered until October 1, 2013 but will increase to $95 after that date.Player lodging will be provided Friday and Saturday, and as well as a family-style banquet on Friday night, are included in the fee. Family members may attend the banquet for a small fee. Boys should bring a sleeping bag, toiletries and towel while hotel information will be provided to accompanying family members. Special rates are available at the tournament hotel, Quality Inn & Suites - Garden of the Gods.
