The 2011/2012 IJF Rules are to be used at international events held in the U.S. and, in general, are the rules our judoka who compete in international events outside the U.S. should expect to be used. [NOTE: There are a few issues that need to be clarified where our current understanding varies from what is written in this document, including a part of the bowing procedure, the use of white and blue marker tapes, and certain aspects of hikiwake, cross grip exemption of leg grab penalty, etc. As these issues are clarified we will update this commentary but we felt it was important to publish these IJF Rules as soon as we received them.]
