Three 2008 U.S. Olympians Lead Team of Four Pentathletes to this Weekend's 2008 World Cup Final in Caldas de Rainha, Portugal

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fresh off her 2008 Youth A World Championships gold medal and her 21st place performance at the 2008 Olympic Games, 16-year-old Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark./Colorado Springs, Colo.) will once again be competing in a major international pentathlon championship, this time the 2008 World Cup Final in Caldas de Rainha, Portugal. Isaksen will go into Saturday's (October 4) competition as the only U.S. modern pentathlete ever to win a Youth World Championship title.

Isaksen will be the only U.S. woman to compete at this year's World Cup final, but the top three U.S. men will all compete. Fresh off of their respective 18th and 22nd place finishes at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China a little over a month ago, Sam Sacksen (Somerset, Pa./Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Eli Bremer (Monument, Colo./Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Air Force) will compete on Sunday, October 5 in the men's World Cup Final. Sacksen and Bremer will be joined by Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas/Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) who narrowly missed making the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team, losing the tie-breaker to Sacksen.
