Pan American Championships This Weekend

Berths in the 2011 Pan American Games will be on the line Nov. 19-21 at the Modern Pentathlon Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The U.S. squad will be looking to earn up to four country slots (two per gender) at the Pan Am Games. A top-24 finish in the men’s competition or a top-16 finish in the women’s competition is needed to qualify the slots.
The six-member U.S. team will be comprised of
Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas),
Will Brady (Howell, Mich.) and
Eli Bremer (Monument, Colo.) on the men’s side, and
Caitlin Flathers (Rixeyville, Va.),
Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.) and
Suzanne Stettinius (Parkton, Md.) on the women’s side. Bremer and Isaksen were both members of the 2008 Olympic Team that competed in Beijing, China.
Janusz Peciak will serve as the coach and
Bill Flathers will be the team leader at the event.
