U.S. relay teams finished strong at the Modern Pentathlon NORCECA Championships on Sunday in Guadalajara, Mexico. The women's relay team of
Samantha Achterberg (Littleton, Colo.) and
Rendy Lynn Opdycke (Mercer Island, Wash.) captured the silver medal, and the mixed relay team of
Eli Bremer (Monument, Colo.) and
Suzanne Stettinius (Parkton, Md.) took home the bronze medal.
The men's relay team of
Will Brady (Howell, Mich.) and
John Gibbons (Colorado Springs, Colo.) placed 5th.
Mexico won the women's relay, Canada took the gold in the mixed relay, and the team from Cuba was victorious in the men's relay.
The U.S. squad comes home with four total medals from the NORCECA Championships. In addition to Sunday's relay medals, Stettinius won gold in Friday's women's competition and Bremer captured bronze in the men's event.
