MOUNT VERNON -- When she was in middle school, Elizabeth Hickman used to go skating with her sister at Newark's Roll-A-Way Skating Center.

Little did she know she would be returning as a college student -- to play in a roller derby match.

Hickman, a Granville graduate and Mount Vernon Nazarene junior-to-be, is one of several Licking County women who play for the Central Ohio Roller Dolls, and will skate for the Trauma Vixens against the Violet Offenders on Sunday at Roll-A-Way. This will be the rubber match between the two, as the season series is tied 1-1.
