The U.S. Olympic Committee annually conducts a Coach of the Year recognition program within the family of Olympic and Pan American sports. There are five categories for which nominations may be made and they are: Volunteer, Developmental, National, Paralympic and the Doc Counsilman (Technology) area. USA Table Tennis takes this opportunity to solicit nominations from our membership for these categories.

Nominations must be received by the Close of Business in the national office by DECEMBER 15, 2012.

A selection committee of:

• Richard McAfee – Chairman of the USATT Coaching Advisory Committee
• Ross Brown – Chairman of the USATT High Performance Committee
• Whitney Ping – Athlete Rep
• Jasna Rather – Para Program Manager
• Mike Cavanaugh – CEO

will review the nominations received and select the respective Coach of the Year. USATT’s selection will then be passed along to the U.S. Olympic Committee as our nominations for their consideration for Coach of the Year. 

So there are two levels – USATT’s selection of Coach of the Year in each category and those selections are in turn submitted to the USOC for their Coach of the Year selection from nominations received from all Olympic and Pan American Games national governing bodies.

Please submit your thoroughly completed nomination form(s) (Volunteer, Developmental, National, Paralympic and the Doc Counsilman) to be received in the national office by December 15, 2012 to: Coach of the Year.
