Referee Victoria Serbin (Columbia, S.C.) has been appointed by the World Taekwondo Federation to an ad-hoc Poomsae Committee. In her role, Serbin, who was recommended to the WTF by USA Taekwondo, will focus on the preparations for the 3rd WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, which will be held in Ankara, Turkey, on December 16-18, 2008.

"There is no one more deserving than Victoria for this position," said USAT CEO David Askinas. "We believe she will do a great job making sure the upcoming Poomsae World Championships are well organized."

Other appointees to the WTF committee were Mr. Sung Chon Hong (Philippines) who will serve as chairman, Mr. Ki Young Cheong (Egypt), Mr. Myung Soo Chang (Korea), Mr. Kyu Hyung Lee (Korea) and Mr. Young Ghil Park (Italy).
