TEAM USA WINS THREE GOLDS, ONE SILVER ON DAY TWO AT THE PAN AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Colorado Springs, Colorado – Team USA had an incredible day two at the 18th Pan American Taekwondo Championships in Sucre, Bolivia today as they brought home three Gold medals and one Silver from the six athletes who competed.  This brings Team USA’s two-day total to six medals including four Gold, one Silver and one Bronze with six athletes still scheduled to compete tomorrow.

The Gold medalists from today’s action include Tashi Serpa (men’s -54kg), Jason Neville (men’s -87kg), and Lauren Hamon (women’s -73kg) while Mark Lopez (men’s -74kg) won Silver.  These athletes joined yesterday’s medalists including Simone Devito (women’s -53kg) who won Gold and Olie Burton III (men’s -63kg) who won Bronze.

Tomorrow’s U.S. competitors include female athletes Charlotte Craig (-49kg), Sanaz Shahbazi (-67kg), and Chanel Nguyen (+73kg) and male athletes James Howe (-58kg), Tanner Creel (-80kg) and Stephen Lambdin (+87kg).
