USA Taekwondo has first-ever Poomsae Board member
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- On April 3, the USA Taekwondo Athlete Advisory Committee (AAC) elected Ronald Southwick of Lansing, Mich., as the third and final Athlete Representative on the USA Taekwondo Board of Directors. Southwick is the first Poomsae athlete to be elected to serve on the USA Taekwondo Board of Directors.
The USA Board of Directors is now complete, with the exception of filling the seat for a fourth Independent Director. This should be accomplished by next week. The current Board of Directors includes the following persons:

Seth WILSON - Club Director
Sammy PEJO - Club Director
Luciano MEDINA - Coach Director
John HOLLOWAY - Referee Director
Russell AHN - Affiliated Organizations Director
Lynda LAURIN - USOC AAC Rep
Terrence JENNINGS - USAT AAC Rep
Ronald SOUTHWICK - USAT AAC Rep
Jeff WALTERS - Independent Director
Dae Sung LEE - Independent Director
Devin JOHNSON - Independent Director
The new Board of Directors increased in size from 11 on the Transitional Board to 13 members on the permanent Board. The two-position increase is the addition of a third AAC Rep and a fourth Independent Director.
The new Board will undergo Board Training all day on Friday, April 5, 2013.
