It is Day 2 of the 2013 Athlete Development Camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, and things are in full swing. Campers have conditioned, honed their skills, learned from National Team coaches and worked with other athletes from across the country.
USAT caught up with a few of them this week:
“I want to get a lot of work out in. I work so I don’t get to train a lot. I’m going to compete at the USAT National Championships so I’m hoping to get a lot of training in and go home sore.”
“I mostly want to learn how to set a trap without (my opponent) noticing it’s a trap so I can score more points more quickly and win faster.”
Overland Park, Kan.
“Camp is going very well. We have seen a lot of energy, excitement and a lot of talent—many of them have a promising future. All of our coaches have been working together, and it has been a really nice environment.”
U.S. National Team Head Coach Patrice Remarck
