- U.S. Men's Head Volleyball Coach Hugh McCutcheon recently spent five days in Beijing as part of a U.S. Olympic Committee delegation to check out the venues and find out what life will be like at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
"I think the facilities are almost all completed. It all seems very impressive," said McCutcheon, who last visited the city in 2005. "We looked at venues and the athlete village. It also gave us a chance to meet with the USOC and finalize logistics with them."
Volleyball will be played in both the Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium and the Capital Indoor Stadium.
"Both volleyball stadiums will be nice places to play," McCutcheon said.
