COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 30, 2012) – USA Volleyball is pleased to announce the individuals who will serve on its Rules Commission for the upcoming Olympic quadrennial (2013-2016).
Pati Rolf has agreed to continue in her role as chair of the Rules Commission, while Rick Laskey will continue to serve as the recorder for the Rules Commission. Walt Weaver returns to the Rules Commission as the junior coach representative.
Paul Albright will replace Steve Thorpe as the indoor rules interpreter and Glenn Sapp will replace Steve Robb as the beach volleyball rules interpreter. Kevin Wendelboe will take the place of John Bryant as the Regional Volleyball Association representative. Doug Wilson will move into the FIVB Referee Commission representative in place of Tom Blue, who also will vacate the International Referees Commission representative as Robb moves into that role.
The next USA Volleyball Rules Commission meeting is scheduled for Denver with exact dates to be set for late February 2013. The meeting will produce material for the 2013-2015 USA Volleyball Domestic Competition Regulations.
