Change in Leadership in Lindenwood University Weightlifting Program
We have recently learned of a change in the leadership of the Lindenwood University weightlifting program. In that connection, the new staff has requested that we make the following announcement.
In response to various inquiries during the U.S. national championships, Lindenwood University wishes to
make it clear that it is still actively recruiting Olympic weightlifters. Lindenwood is looking to fill up the
head coach position in a timely manner. An announcement should be made in the next few weeks
regarding this matter. Rest assured the Olympic Weightlifting program is not compromised.
Weightlifters of all levels are welcome to contact the interim coaching staff to learn more about an exciting
opportunity to train and compete in a fully funded college program that offers scholarships for Olympic
Weightlifting. Lindenwood is the only collegiate program in the United States to offer scholarships to
international students. Lindenwood athletes receive outfits, and lifting singlets. Accommodation, meals
and travel for competitions are also funded by the university. In addition, membership and registration fees are taken care of.
Feel free to contact the interim coaching staff at: slc100@lionmail.lindenwood.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Samuel Chapman, Head Coach
Laurent Goyette-Demers, Assistant Coach
