Four past world medalists from Team USA won gold medals at the New York Athletic Club Freestyle International Championships Sunday. Two-time World champion Kristie Davis beat 2010 world silver medalist Elena Pirozhkova, 0-3, 2-0, 5-1, in the 63 kg/138.75-pound final to close the competition and earn the Outstanding Wrestler award in the women’s division. Jake Herbert, Tervel Dlagnev and Clarissa Chun were the other world champions to take titles. Herbert, the 2009 World silver medalist, repeated his win from the World Team Trials final by beating Keith Gavin, 2-0, 2-0, in the 84 kg/185-pound final. Dlagnev won at 120 kg/264.5 pounds and 2008 world champion Clarissa Chun won the 48 kg/105.5-pound women’s title.
