Tatiana Padilla, a member of both the U.S. Women’s World Team and the U.S. Junior World Team, won the 59 kg/130-pound title at the Canada Cup Saturday. Padilla defeated two-time Olympic medalist Tonya Verbeek of Canada, 6-1, 1-0, in the finals. Padilla was joined by teammates in claiming gold medals. Elena Pirozhkova (67 kg/138.75 pounds) and Stephany Lee (72 kg/158.5 pounds), also from the Women’s World Team, won titles. Helen Maroulis (55 kg/121 pounds), another Junior World Team member, also won.
