The USA Wrestling College Wrestling Google+ Hangout Series will continue at 2:00 p.m. EST on Jan. 28 with special guests from the Boston University wrestling program.

Boston University wrestling is currently fighting to save its program as BU has announced it would drop wrestling beginning in the 2014-15 season.

In an effort to help further the cause to save BU wrestling, the Google+ platform will provide an opportunity for participants to share their stories and give more exposure to the program and its mission.

The panelists for the Boston University Google+ Hangout will include Head Coach Carl Adams alongside wrestlers Nestor Taffur and Kevin Innis.

Carl Adams is now in his 33rd season at the helm of the BU Terrier program. Adams has coached 10 BU squads to conference championships and is currently fourth among active coaches in dual wins with 323.

Terrier standout Nestor Taffur has been an integral part of the Save BU Wrestling movement and is shooting for high goals on the mat. Taffur represented BU at the NWCA All-Star Classic this season squaring off against Lehigh’s Joey Napoli. Currently ranked No. 5 in the NCAA, Taffur qualified for the NCAA tournament in 2013 and is looking to become BU’s fifth All-American and first National Champion under the guidance of Coach Adams.

Co-captain of the BU squad, Kevin Innis will be the final panelist on the Boston University Wrestling Google+ Hangout. Innis is a two-time NCAA qualifier and BU’s first ever CAA conference champion in the heavyweight division.

Fans can RSVP for the Boston University Google+ Hangout On Air on the USA Wrestling Google+ Page and can watch live at 2:00 p.m. EST on the USA Wrestling YouTube channel.

To interact with any of the three panelists either tweet questions using the hashtag #BUHangout or post questions directly on the Google+ page live during the hangout.
